New ornament now on sale

A limited edition brass ornament designed by Fayetteville artist Patsy Gullett is now available at Miss Minnie's Cottage.

The holiday ornament is one of two produced by Easter Seals of North Georgia this season commemorating significant Georgia landmarks and events. Gullett's design, called Skyline of Atlanta, is a montage of the skyscrapers that define Atlanta's downtown business district along with other notable landmarks, including the Martin Luther King house, the Fox Theater and Stone Mountain.

Proceeds from the sale of the ornaments will help Easter Seals continue to provide care and services to children with disabilities in north Georgia.

The ornaments sell for $15 and have a history of increasing in value. Ornaments that sold for $10 in 1989, are now valued at $65 each.

Also available this season is Anni Moller's ornament entitled Christmas with Uga, which features the popular University of Georgia mascot, dressed for the season amid a pile of holiday gifts. This is the eighth design in the Moller series and the fourth ornament commemorating UGA.

Miss Minnie's Cottage is at 405 North Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville.
