The Tiger Christmas Baseball Camp will be held at the Fayette County High School Baseball field on Dec. 4 from 9-11:30 a.m. The camp is open to children ages 6-14. The cost is $25 and registration forms can be picked up at the front offices of Fayette County High School or the Fayette Community Schools. The third annual holiday charity golf tournament will be held on Dec. 4 at River's Edge Golf Club in Fayetteville. The format will be a two man scramble and registration will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The cost is $50 for individuals and $100 a team. The registration deadline is Dec. 2 . White Oak Athletic Center in Newnan will host an International Shootout competition on Dec. 4. It is a national basketball shooting competition for male and female amateurs age 11 and older. You may enter as an individal or as a team of two. Winners at the local level will advance to a state championship. Your entry is free and you may re-shoot either the free throws or the three point shots for $5. The Jingle Bell Trail, Peachtree City Elementary's third annual 5K/1 mile fun run and walk will be held on Dec. 11 . The event will start at 9 a.m. with the 5K race, followed by the 1 mile walk at 9:10 a.m. The cost is $13, which includes registration, jingle bells for your shoes and a long-sleeve t-shirt. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville and Mike Balson will again offer the Indoor Soccer Skills Camp on Dec. 20, 21, and 22. Players can choose either the half day camp (9a.m.-12 p.m.) or the full day camp (9a.m.-4 p.m.) The emphasis will be on small sided games with specialized goalkeeper training. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville announces the 2000 Indoor Championships. The tournament includes boys and girls in ages Under 8 through Under 19 as well as high school teams. Last year's tournament was the largest indoor soccer tournament in the southeast with teams from Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Kentucky. Call 770-460-8785 for more information.

The Florida Bobcats of the Arena Footbal League will hold tryouts at Dacula High School on Dec. 18. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and tryouts begin at 9:30 a.m. sharp. the fee to trryout is $35 cash, no checks will be accepted. Bring your cleats.
