Arts Exchange sets open house, concerts, art sale

The Arts Exchange has organized its first open house and art sale for Dec. 3-5, to give the public an opportunity to shop for original artwork in a festive setting.

Community artists will exhibit work in the gallery, classroom and halls of the facility, and there will be studio tours, entertainment, food and craft vendors and more.

Featured visual artists include Kyu Bon Kim and Oh Hwa Park, the African Americans for the Arts group exhibit, and the photography of Jim Alexander.

Performing artists will have classes and rehearsals to add to the occasion. Performing groups include Uhuru Dancers, Fit For The Kingdom Players, KIRAW Productions and the Pan People Steelband.

Fit For The Kingdom Players will perform a Christmas Cantata (musical) Sunday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in The Paul Robeson Theatre.

Activities are set for 5 - 9 p.m. Dec. 3, and noon to 9 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 at The Arts Exchange, 750 Kalb Street, SE, Atlanta.
