Suddenly Single shuts down

To everything there is a season.

Three years ago, a group of volunteers and professionals worked cooperatively to establish a support group to promote the healing process that must take place for a more complete recovery from the pain of divorce, death or separation.

The group was not intended to be social in nature, but a place where hurts could be healed and a helpful hand extended to those in need. At the time of its creation, Suddenly Single was unique in nature for groups in our area. To the delight of group leaders Mike and Laraine Ayers, many area churches have recognized this need and have established ministries to address the healing processes for this segment of people, whose numbers continue to grow.

The Ayers would like to thank the volunteers and professionals whose time, commitment, words of wisdom and encouragement helped to soothe the pain in the lives of those who attended Suddenly Single. The Ayers also wish to thank Kroger - Thomas Crossroads for the use of a conference room for the group meetings.

The season for Suddenly Single has come to a close; however, the Ayers said they would like to encourage the community and area churches to continue to reach out to those whose lives are in turmoil from the death, divorce or separation of a spouse.
