The celebrations
begin! This week marks the official
beginning of the 1999 holiday season, and there
are plenty of events to put a sparkle in the eyes
of children and adults. Here's a list of area

NOVEMBER
19

The Alliance Theater will present A
Christmas Carol. Performances are
Tuesday-Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 and 8
p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. A
sign-interpreted show will be Dec. 2 at 8 p.m.
and an audio-described show Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m.

County High School Select Chorus sings at the
lighting of Rich's Great Tree. The program will
be broadcast at 7 p.m. on WSB-TV Channel 2.

* Henry County
Marketplace, home of Peachtree Peddlers, hosts a
Breakfast With Santa at 10 a.m. $12 cost includes
breakfast for one child and one adult and one

Mountain Park presents Old Fashioned
Christmas Celebration weekends Nov. 27-Dec.

Civitans begin their Christmas Tree sales in the
parking lot of Melear's Barbecue. Prices range
from $40-$60. Proceeds benefit local charities
and organizations.

Ballet presents The Nutcracker at the

The Peachtree City Volunteer Firefighters
Association's fifth annual Santa Run. Santa comes
to city neighborhoods on a fire truck collecting
canned goods for Fayette Samaritans.
