The women of Bethany United Methodist Church will host a bazaar this Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Homemade vegetable soup, cornbread and cheesecake will be available as well as a variety of crafts and gifts for Christmas shoppers. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd. in North Fayette County.

New church forming in Coweta County

Overcoming Faith Baptist Church is the name selected for a new church forming in Coweta County in the Sargent area. Rev. Roy Coggin is presently holding services in the old storehouse on the corner of Macedonia and Witcher roads. A yard sale is planned to raise funds. Inman UMC plans Saturday Night Alive service

Members of Inman United Methodist Church will have a “Saturday Night Alive” worship service featuring Anne Minter on the piano and a service of celebration through music this Saturday, Nov. 20. Activities will begin at 5:30 with a fellowship meal provided by the TBA class. Donations will be accepted for the building fund. The musical worship service will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Bethany UMC will host joint service Sunday

Several Fayette County churches will join together this Sunday evening for a joint Thanksgiving service at Bethany United Methodist Church on Rivers Road in North Fayette County. Sandy Creek Baptist, Fellowship Baptist and The Rock Baptist will all participate in the sevice which begins at 6 p.m. Sunday night. The community is invited to attend.

National Heights plans churchwide luncheon

Members of National Heights Baptist Church will have a church wide Thanksgiving luncheon Sunday, Nov. 21, following the morning worship service. The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children 10 and under. Reservations may be made by calling the church office at 770-461-1704 or 770-461-3899.

Providence youth taking orders for Christmas trees

The youth at Providence United Methodist Church are taking orders for Christmas trees Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings through Nov. 21. The Frasier firs range in size from 6 ft. to 9 ft. and are priced from $40-$60. A deposit is due with each order.

Inman Pathfinders plan yard sale Nov. 20

Members of the Pathfinders class at Inman United Methodist Church will sponsor a yard sale on Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Fellowship Hall. Proceeds will benefit the building program. Members of Inman United Methodist Church's Primetimers will meet for lunch at Shoney's in Fayetteville Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 11:30 a.m. The group is for those 55 years of age and up.
