Sandy Creek H.S. both bound for football playoffs It's a
season of firsts for Fayette County's two newest
high schools.
Sandy
Creek and Starr's Mill football teams both won
last week and are headed to their first-ever
post-season playoff games. The Patriots and
Panthers, both Region 4 AAA contenders, will meet
Region 2 opponents in the first round of the
state football championship playoffs.
Sandy
Creek (7-3) will play unbeaten Shaw (10-0) away
Friday night, while Starr's Mill (8-2) travels to
Peach County (8-2) for their Friday night
showdown.
