Defensive end Adrian Stargell of the East Coweta Indians was heralded as a Utilities Protection Center Lineman of the Week.

Utility linemen representatives from local utility companies present the award to each player at the school. Each player receives an engraved plaque commemorating the distinction.

An overall Linemen of the Year will be selected from all of the weekly winners at the end of the season. Defensive coach for the Indians Pat Harris said, “Adrian has dominated every tight end in our region, forcing coaches to run plays away from him.”

The Indians are 8-2 and will open the playoffs at home Friday, Nov. 19.
