U.S. Rep. Mac Collins will visit the Fairmount Alternative School in Newnan, to see the work of Dr. Carmella Scott Williams. Williams recently won a spot on USA TODAY's top teachers team for her work with students who have run into problems at other schools. Collins, whose 3rd District includes Coweta County, will meet with the school staff and speak with the students from 9:30 - 11 a.m. today. For information, call the school at 770-254-2870. The Hampton Republican also will conduct a town hall meeting in Jonesboro, giving an update on Congressional business and taking questions and comments from concerned citizens.
