Fayette County 4H will sponsor Clay Target Shooting on Nov. 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the 4H Shotgun Range on McDonough Road near McCurry Park. A $5 donation gets 25 targets. High Schoolers and younger children will pay half price. Guns and ammunition will be available at the range. Call 770-460-5730, ext. 412.

The Jingle Bell Trail, Peachtree City Elementary's third annual 5K/1 mile fun run and walk will be held on Dec. 11 . The event will start at 9 a.m. with the 5K race, followed by the 1 mile walk at 9:10 a.m. The cost is $13, which includes registration, jingle bells for your shoes and a long-sleeve t-shirt. There will be an organizational meeting held on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the wrestling room at McIntosh High School for anyone between the ages of 5-12 (kindergarten through sixth grade) interested in joining a wrestling club in Peachtree City. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7;45 p.m. in the McIntosh High School wrestling room commencing Nov. 16.

Also, the club is seeking any former grapplers who are interested in volunteering to train and coach. This is a great opportunity to work with the youth in this area. Any further questions can be directed to Robert at 770-631-0672.

The annual meeting for the Peachtree City Paddlers will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in the Stoneybrook Clubhouse in Peachtree City. The meeting will consist of food, fellowship, the election of new officer and the creation of next year's trip list. Call Debby or John Dennis at 770-487-5888 by Nov. 10. Attendees are asked to bring a vegetable, salad or dessert. The meeting is open to both club members and any others interested in the organization.

Peachtree City Paddlers club president Robert Osborn will lead the leader's choice trip to a secret destination. Call him at 770-460-5176 to go along.

The Peachtree City Paddlers Metro Hooch will be held on Dec. 11 and will be led by John Dennis. It is a short, peaceful ride. Call John at 770-487-5888.

White Oak Athletic Center in Newnan will host an International Shootout competition on Dec. 4. It is a national basketball shooting competition for male and female amateurs age 11 and older. You may enter as an individal or as a team of two. Winners at the local level will advance to a state championship. Your entry is free and you may re-shoot either the free throws or the three point shots for $5. The competition will begin at 10 a.m. and you may pick up an entry form at White Oak Athletic Center today. Call Kat at 770-304-2348 for more information.

Tickets for the 1999 State AAAA football play-off game to be hosted by East Coweta High School on Friday November 19, 1999 will go on sale beginning Thursday November 11, 1999. All 1999 season ticket holders may purchase reserved seat tickets Thursday November 11 and Friday November 12. Monday November 15, all remaining tickets will be available on first come, first serve basis. Times tickets will be available for purchase are listed below.

The Peachtree City Elite 14 and Under Girl's fastpitch softball travel team will be holding tryouts on Nov. 14, 21 and 22 at 3 p.m. at Meade Field in Peachtree City to select the 2000 “B” division team. The third annual holiday charity golf tournament will be held on Dec. 4 at River's Edge Golf Club in Fayetteville. The format will be a two man scramble and registration will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The cost is $50 for individuals and $100 a team. The registration deadline is Dec. 2 .
