Pathway sets eyes on
Henry County Pathway
Communities, the company responsible for the
development of Peachtree City, one of America's
most successful master-planned communities, is
bringing its vision of creating unique living
environments to Stockbridge in Henry County.
Pathway's
newest venture, to be called Monarch Village,
will be a 440-acre, master-planned community
projected to include approximately 800 homes. The
community will have a commercial village center
featuring a variety of shops, offices and
neighborhood services and an elementary school to
meet residents' needs.
According
to Charlie Biele, Pathway's senior vice president
of development, Monarch Village will
feature innovative master planning concepts to be
introduced in Henry County.
Biele
says that pathway will implement its village
square community concept-a unique blend of
living, working, shopping and recreational
environments that is designed to create an ideal
sense of community, while preserving the natural
beauty of the land.
Biele
indicates the name Monarch Village was chosen
because it promotes the natural resources on the
land as well as the environmental orientation of
the development.
In
Peachtree City, we learned what makes a great
community-how to use things like architectural
guidelines, natural areas and recreational
opportunities to create a total living
environment. We will take that experience, add
exciting new elements including advanced home
communication technology, and create a community
that is unique to Henry County, he said.
Located
just off I-75 in Stockbridge, Monarch Village's
information center is expected to open in early
2000.
Homes
will be priced from the low $100s to the $300s
and will range from traditional to
turn-of-the-century style.
