Sheriff to speak to NAACP

Fayette County Sheriff Randall Johnson is slated to address the Fayette County chapter of the NAACP at its regular monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. at the Gathering Place in Peachtree City.

The leadership of the Fayette NAACP is continually seeking out city and county official to get acquainted and create a constructive dialogue to improve race relations, according to a written statement. Recent speakers include Fayette County assistant school superintendent Fred Oliver in September and Peachtree City Councilwoman Annie McMenamin and Peachtree City police Chief James Murray in October.

Johnson is expected to discuss law enforcement issues important to Fayette countians.
