Offshoot Productions will host two acting workshops for 11- to 15-year-olds this Saturday and Sunday at the Peachtree City Library.

Developing Characters through Improvisation will run from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. Participants will perform unscripted scenes in an exploration of diverse ways in which to create memorable characters.

“Voice and Movement” will run from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7. This workshop will help young actors feel comfortable on stage, whether in auditions, rehearsal or performances.

The fee for each workshop is $18.

Instructors include Susan Steadman, Ph.D., artistic director of Offshoot Productions, who has taught acting and directed in Louisiana, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas and Georgia; Brenda Tymecki, who has frequently appeared in Offshoot's professional productions and holds a theater degree from the University of Vermont; and Ethan Williams, who has a B.A. in theater from Georgia State University and has worked with Offshoot as an actor, assistant director, fight choreographer and acting instructor.
