Bethany UMC will serve Perlieu Stew Nov. 6

Bethany United Methodist Church will serve its traditional homemade Perlieu Stew on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 3-7 p.m. the cost will be $6 for adults and $3.50 for children. Children under the age of three may eat at no charge. Carry out is available. Bethany is located at 607 Rivers Rd. in North Fayette County. Zion Lutheran offers Parents' Night Out

Parent volunteers of Zion Lutheran Church in Newnan will offer a Parents' Night Out on Friday, Nov. 5, from 6-11 p.m., giving adults the opportunity to have some time for themselves while their children participate in age-appropriate activities and games. Registration is required one week in advance and there is a fee of $5 per family to cover the cost of snacks. The church is at 53 Country Club Rd. in Newnan. FUMC Craft Festival set for Nov. 6

Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have their Fall Craft Festival on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the church. Christmas items as well as a wide variety of home crafted goods will be available. Fayetteville First is located at 175 E. Lanier Ave. just off the square in Fayetteville.

Inman UMC Craft Day is Nov. 6

Members of Inman United Methodist Church are invited to a church-wide Craft Day, Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is sponsored by the Sisters in Service. PTC Christian plans sports memorabilia auction

The 1999 Sports Memorabilia Auction sponsored by Southwest Christian Hospice will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Dr. in Peachtree City. A silent auction is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., with a live auction to follow at 5 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the ministry of Southwest Christian Hospice.

Father/son retreat scheduled for Nov. 5-6

Fathers and sons at Fayetteville Christian Church will have a retreat at Woodland Christian Camp Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5 and 6. The cost is $20 per person for the first two family members and $15 per person for the third, fourth or more. Forms are available in the church office.

`Born Again Bargains' now open in Fairburn

Southwest Christian Hospice's “Born Again Bargains” store, which had its grand reopening last August, continues to offer used items at bargain prices with proceeds going to a hospice projects and expenses. The store is in Hudson Plaza on U.S. Hwy. 29 in Fairburn. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. Southwest Christian Hospice, located on Lester Rd. in Union City, is a nonprofit ministry providing quality hospice health care at no cost to patients or their families.

Inman UMC offers Wednesday dinners

Inman United Methodist Church invites members and guests to attend “Wonderful Wednesdays” for family style meals and fellowship at the church each Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Meals are served until 7 p.m. Permanent reservations may be made by calling the church, or those wishing to participate may sign up each week before noon on Tuesday. The cost is $4 for adults 12 and up and $2.25 for children under age 12. The maximum family cost is $15. Special children's menus are available for those who request it in advance. Rolling Hills announces Wednesday activities

Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville offers numerous activities on Wednesday nights. At 5:30 p.m., members host a Wednesday night supper, followed by AWANA groups for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade. A group for middle school and high school youth meets at 6:45, as does an adult bible study class. A nursery is provided for younger children. Nat'l Heights Baptist offers Wednesday dinners

National Heights Baptist Church offers a fellowship dinner each Wednesday night at beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $3.50 for adults and $1.50 for children 10 and under. Reservations may be made by signing the attendance register at the church or by calling the church office at 770-461-1704. National Heights is located at 103 old Norton Rd. in Fayetteville.
