New web site
collects stories
of gov't. waste When U.S.
Rep. Mac Collins decided to cast a net for
government waste, he decided that the best net
would be an internet.
You can report
examples of government waste on Collins' web site
at http://www.house.gov/maccollins.
Today I added
a new link on my congressional web site so that
Americans who want to report waste can do so,
using the internet, Collins announced.
The web site
contains links to a site established by the U.S.
House of Representatives Committee on the Budget.
The site, called Turn Off Wasteful
Government Spending, invites citizens to
submit examples of government waste. From
an $800,000 outhouse in Delaware Gap National
Recreational Area, to training illegal aliens how
to file fraudulent unemployment insurance claims,
we already have examples of government waste that
must be curbed, Collins said.
The best way
to keep government honest is to keep the eyes of
the citizens open for fraud and waste,
Collins added. A nation of vigilant and
concerned citizens is more effective than an army
of inspectors.
