If you would like to serve on a committee reviewing Fayette County's tree protection regulations, you have until Friday to get your name into consideration. County commissioners Thursday voted to give prospective members ten days to send resumes to Carol Chandler at the County Administrative Complex. The county Planning Commission is considering a new tree preservation ordinance that would increase the requirement that developers preserve some trees on construction projects. Developers have asked for more input, and the special study committee is being formed to give both developers and citizens a chance to review the proposed rules before they are adopted. Send resumes to Carol Chandler, County Commissioners' Office, 140 W. Stonewall Ave., Fayetteville 30214.
