Candidates' supporters extol their virtures, criticize opponents

For Lehman...

This year's political campaign has been very interesting and I have made a point to follow all the candidate's platforms very closely.

I have come to the conclusion that Chuck Lehman, candidate for Peachtree City Council Post 2, will better serve us than the other two candidates.

I make that statement because he has lived in Peachtree City for 18 years, and during that time, he has worked with a group of citizens to help keep the city's plan of development in good order. In addition, Mr. Lehman has a strong business background, which includes putting together big-dollar budgets and keeping within those budgets. He has contacts with sources that could help with future attractive industrial growth, that being the Fortune 500.

In addition, I like the idea that he would be available to work for citizens of Peachtree City on a full-time basis. He said he would make sure trees would not be cut down that should not be cut, do his best to keep the developments that will cause too much traffic in any given area, keep all of the neighborhoods beautiful, and fully research any issue that comes before the council.

He has mentioned his wife of 38 years, his son, daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law, who are devoting their lives in Peachtree City. Mr. Lehman has displayed an outstanding moral and Christian behavior, which is apparent among his family. His strong relationship with family is probably another reason why he wants to be given a chance to serve on the city council.

I want to thank Mr. Lehman for wanting to share his experiences and talents with our wonderful city.

Mary Margaret Murphy
