Candidates'
supporters extol their virtures, criticize opponents For Perlman... In a recent issue of your newspaper, you allowed a candidate for City Council in Peachtree City to express his displeasure that another candidate had the resources available to do some simple polling to see how voters really stood on the issue of developers. I believe it is only fair and ethically correct that you allow a separate opinion to be expressed. First, let me say that my wife and I have both been involved in marketing research for a number of years. The questions that the candidate says were asked of his supporters are standard questions and do not assume actions by anyone. Questioning of this type is usually concluded quite quickly and does not imply anything else. Second, I have known Bruce Perlman since my family and I moved to Peachtree City almost eight years ago. He is an honorable man, well-respected in the community, and a resident I am glad to see step forward and serve Peachtree City. As a middle-class, Christian man raising a family, I want to see the family and neighborhood values carried forth and I believe very strongly that Bruce Perlman is the best choice on Tuesday. The low-level sniping against Bruce Perlman first, because of his religion, and second, the fact that people have contributed to his campaign does not show a particular character from the opposing candidate I wish to see representing me as Peachtree City moves into the next century. I am sure the voters of Peachtree City will vote the way they believe is best; I know it's Bruce Perlman for me. J.
