'Tie-breakers' favor Lehman, McMenamin

Peachtree City is fortunate to have so many qualified individuals willing to dedicate their time and skills to the city. I believe each of the candidates have qualifications that would make them successful in the role of city council member.

Since all those running cannot be selected I have personally looked for “tie breakers” in this race to the finish for the best two candidates. In reviewing the comments the candidates have supplied to the newspapers from recently published interviews and appearances at public forums I find they all speak the right language regarding the city and the direction to take. The “tie breakers” that I find are prior experience, management skills and dedication to the job of serving on the city council.

Annie McMenamin has shown me that she has the experience, the mental toughness to make hard decisions and the commitment to dedicate the time required. I have found her actions on the city council to be in line with what is best for the city. For this reason I will vote for Annie.

Chuck Lehman has dedicated much of his time in the past to city issues. Chuck's answers to the questions that were published in the paper showed more depth and knowledge of the real issues. I feel Chuck has in the past and will in the future dedicate the time to be an informed participant in city issues. Chuck has the appropriate business skills from his employment history and will use them wisely.

Finally, Chuck is at a time in his life where he can dedicate the time required. From the experiences I have in working with the city council on issues I find the time commitment to the job of city council to be larger than most realize. I'm sure the other candidates would be able to manage their time to perform in an excellent manner. Since Chuck has the skills, is taking the right positions and has the most time available of any of the candidates, I'm voting for Chuck.
