suffering from Mayor Lenox's overactive ego After catching my breath at the unmitigated gall of our mayor, I could not believe no one has become angry. Must be all those apathetic taxpayers who don't vote. Last time I checked, our public officials were to represent all the people; taxpayers, old, young, sick, well. In other words, all the citizens in the community whether they voted or not. A lot of people feel that if you don't vote you don't have a voice but that is not true.V oting is not the only criteria to base representation on. Voting is a privilege and shame on those who do not exercise that privilege, but it is not a requirement for being represented by our government officials. Mr. Lenox has always thought he was better than most of us and has always tried to use his success and money to get his own way. Red Lobster is a good case in point. That is not an ethical way to represent the people. But, those who voted put him there and now we all have to suffer from his overactive ego. In closing, you may come to find out that even though you support your community through paying taxes, volunteering, or any of the other numerous ways to support your community, you may just get on Mayor Lenox's bad side because for some reason you either didn't or were unable to vote. Too bad we don't have the same choice when paying our ever-rising taxes. Mary Lou
