Ready, set...shop. Hundreds of Fayette County residents are expected to make the short drive to Douglasville today to satisfy their shopping craving as the metro area's newest mall, Arbor Place, opens for business. The list of retailers opening in the 1.2 million square-foot Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville should satisfy even the most discriminating shopper. Included in the newest list of retailers are Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie Kids, The Disney Store, The Buckle, The Gap and 13 eateries, said Eric Snyder, senior vice president and director of corporate leasing for CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. All of these newly announced stores will be open Oct.13, when we will open Arbor Place is better than 85 percent leased with three of our two-level department stores, Dillard's, Parisian and Sears, plus four sub-anchors, Old Navy, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Borders Books & Music and the 18-screen Regal Cinema, he added. Some of the highlights of the retailers include: Abercrombie and Fitch is one of the hottest and most sought-after retailers and will occupy 13,000 sq.ft with its two stores. The stores of fashion apparel, merchandise and services including apparel for women, misses, juniors, children and men, as well as related accessories. The Disney Store offers shoppers a complete line of merchandise associated with one of the most popular retailers in the mall industry including apparel, toys, jewelry, collectibles, posters, books, magazines, records, CDs, laser discs, cassettes, videocassette tapes, housewares, sports equipment, telephones, clocks, watches, cards and gift wrap. La Pastina Italian Kitchen makes its initial entry into the Atlanta market with a 7,000 sq.ft. restaurant and offers a variety of Italian-style foods, salads, desserts and beverages in an upscale Italian dining atmosphere with a full service bar.
