High Garden offers residents
a respite from the fast lane

Reminiscent of an English tea garden, High Garden at Lake Redwine Plantation takes one back to a more gracious time when neighbors visited on front porches and took evening walks through the neighborhood.

A tree-lined street winds between 24 neo-traditional homes surrounded by lush landscaping. Period street lights cast a warm glow over sidewalks, inviting families to enjoy the outdoors in their own private park.

Stretching across both sides of the quaint neighborhood, the park boasts walking trails that lead residents past native trees, labeled for identification.

Landscape architect Dennis Drewyer took a new direction by designing his plans according to the shape of each individual home site. “Distinctive homes in such an exclusive setting deserve individual attention,” he said.

“This neighborhood won't be for everyone, but those who truly enjoy a respite from the hustle and bustle of their lives outside Lake Redwine will cherish the difference,” he added.

Local and noted residential designers L. Mitchell Ginn and Associates will design homes in High Garden. Ginn is responsible for such custom private residences as those in North Cove, an antebellum setting with pre-Civil War style architecture, as well as Highgrove, which replicates a '40s style neighborhood; both communities are in Peachtree City.

According to David Reynolds, Lake Reynolds Plantation on-site agent, “There's nothing quite like High Garden in Coweta County, and inquiries have already begun.”

Residents enjoy boating and sailing on the 300-acre Lake Redwine, as well as picnicking at a picturesque gazebo on a small island. Just north of Newnan and minutes from Interstate 85, the community offers amenities that include junior Olympic and children's pools, a clubhouse slated for completion this fall, lighted tennis courts (an ALTA location), and a host of nature trails and other planned features.

Selected builders offer custom home designs, and of course, underground utilities, sidewalks and street lighting are in place throughout Lake Redwine Plantation. Homes in High Garden, the newest neighborhood within the planned community, range in price from the $200's.
