Name-calling
is ill-mannered, and it changes no minds Thank you for printing the various responses to the recent SPLOST vote. All were interesting; some I agreed with; others, I did not. What disturbs me is the tone of many of the letters and columns. Because an opinion differs from your own does not make that opinion idiotic. Tossing around insults such as Neanderthals who live in Fayette County, tax-cutting ideologues, and the only county around dumb enough to reject the sales tax do little to change anyone's point of view. After all, we live in a democratic country where each person is entitled to his own opinion. Name-calling is not needed. (And personally, living in the South of that country, I like to think we were raised better than to resort to it). Suzanne
