Blessing of the animals at St. Andrew's Oct. 3

St. Andrew's in-the-Pines Episcopal Church will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a service of The Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. Members of the community are invited to bring their animals—dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, snakes, goats, horses, or any other animal—to be blessed. Those participating are asked to bring appropriate materials to manage their pets. A nursery will be provided. St. Andrew's is at 316 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City. Inman UMC offers health program starting Oct. 4

“First Place,” a 12-week, Christ-centered health program with an emphasis on weight loss will be offered by Inman United Methodist Church beginning Monday, Oct. 4. Those interested in joining should call Terrie Hart at 770-461-5218.

Ladies Bible study postponed

Ladies Bible study at McDonough Road Baptist Church, normally scheduled for Wednesdays, has been changed this week due to revival services. The class will meet Sunday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. For more infromation, call the church office at 770-460-5423.

McDonough Rd. plans golf fellowship

A church wide golf fellowship for members of McDonough Road Baptist Church is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Cedars Golf Course. The cost is $22 per participant. Those wishing to participate may sign up at the church.

Rolling Hills announces changes for fall

Choir practice at Rolling Hills Baptist Church is held each Sunday evening. Children's and preschool choirs (ages three through fifth grade) meet at 5 p.m. The adult choir meets at 6 p.m. Rolling Hills Baptist Church is located at 1481 Redwine Rd. in Fayetteville. Senior singers at McDonough Road Baptist

Senior citizens who are free on Wednesday mornings from 10-11 a.m. are invited to join the Forever Be Active Singers at McDonough Road Baptist Church. For more information, call Mary Player at 770-964-1210.

Covenant hosts Thursday Bible study groups

All women of the church at Covenant Presbyterian are invited to attend Thursday morning Bible study from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Baby-sitting is provided and refreshments are served. Providence schedules fellowship dinners

Church-wide fellowship dinners at Providence United Methodist Church are held each Wednesday from 5:45-6:45 p.m. Reservations may be made by signing up at the church each Sunday or by calling the church office before noon on Monday. The cost is $4 for adults and youth and $3 for children in first through fifth grades. Younger children eat at no charge. The family maximum is $15. Providence is at 592 Bernhard Rd. in Fayetteville. Saturday evening services at Inman UMC

Inman United Methodist Church is offering come-as-you-are Saturday evening prayer and praise services the fourth Saturday of each month at 5 p.m. Services are held in the sanctuary.
