Throughout life we are always dealing with what is real and what is not. Our youth and adults today spend millions of dollars and hours on the multi-billion-dollar industry of surreal video games. If you asked someone playing these games if they know that these games are only in the reel world, they would respond with certainly I know this is only a game. Daily we deal with the issues of life that are very real to us, but I feel that God has a very different perspective on the day to day issues of our lives. As an evangelical Christian, I believe that God is an out breathing God meaning that He interacts with us daily and in all situations. This is unlike the deists of old who thought that God just started the earth in motion and then withdrew to never interact with mankind again. The longer I live the more I realize how real the spiritual world really is and that often what we call the real world is really the reel world, as in a video or a movie. Sound strange? Let me give some examples. Let's just say that a string of seemingly terrible things happen to you or to me like life-threatening disease, serious financial troubles, house is lost in a storm, relatives die, wars and rumors of war, loss of wife or husband in divorce, and on and on. Now for a moment think of yourself as God in heaven looking down on your situation, knowing full well that eternity awaits us. When you give it some serious thought, it really doesn't matter a whole lot what happens to you and me in this physical world because in the big picture, our lives here are but a drop in the bucket of time compared to eternity. By the way, how long is eternity? It has been said that if the world was a solid steel ball and an angel came down and touched this solid steel ball with its wing every 100 years, when this solid steel ball we call earth was worn away, then this would be just the dawning of eternity. Wow! Now how do your problems look in the real world? The answers to your problems and mine are spiritual most of the time. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and no one comes unto the Father except through Him. This is real. God bless you in your quest for what is real and true. [The Rev.
