It is time once again for the Stars on the Southern Crescent Coffeehouse presented by Offshoot Productions. The coffeehouse features local performers and a variety of coffees, teas, homemade desserts and cold beverages
 
Local stages fill with action this fall
As evidenced by last week's Weekend section, fall can be considered festival season, but it also can be considered theater season as many local theater groups are launching big things for the last season of the century.
Bark in the Park gives man's best friend a special day
It is said that animals are the first to know when something big is about to happen. Their strange behavior serves as an indicator to their owners and it can often precede the event by a number of days. It has not been reported if animals have been acting strangely recently, but if they have it can only mean one thing: Bark in the Park.

Mary was trying out her new phone in her new digs in Cologne a couple of weeks ago, and called us. Dave picked up the cordless, I was on the “regular phone.” Amazing: she sounded clearer and closer to me than he did.
