Landmark
has their first All-American By MICHAEL
BOYLAN It has finally happened. Landmark Christian School has produced its first Athletic All-American. Wallace DuVall, a senior wrestler at Landmark, was named an All-American by the National High School Coaches Association. DuVall has wrestled for Landmark since the sixth grade. After winning the qualifying tournament in Valdosta, DuVall went to the National Open Championships in Birmingham, Ala. He competed with more than 800 wrestlers from 32 states. The students competed over a three-day period of high level, interscholastic competition. DuVall placed fifth overall, earning him his All-American status. For now, DuVall has his sights on the Preseason National Tournament to be held in Chattanooga, Tenn. this October. He also looks forward to college. I'm not sure where I'll go, DuVall said. I do know that I want to wrestle and I'm open to the East or West Coast. |
