Cornerstone plans mother/daughter brunch

Cornerstone Bible church will have a Mother/Daughter Brunch Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at the church. Reservations must be made by Sept. 19. Cornerstone is at 426 Rivers Rd. in North Fayette County. For more information, call the church at 770-964-6789.

Quilting class begins at Fayetteville First UMC

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is offering a 4-week beginners' quilting class led by Nancy Jones beginning Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 6:45 p.m. in Room C230 at the church. Bethany women schedule trip to Wren's Nest

The Circle of Love at Bethany United Methodist Church is planning a trip to the Wren's Nest Thursday, Sept. 16. A stop for lunch is included in the itinerary. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the church at 9 a.m. Friends are invited. Bethany is located at 607 Rivers Rd. in North Fayette County.

Lee University Singers to perform

The Peachtree City Church of God will sponsor a free community concert featuring the Lee University Singers on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. The 60- member group is from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. and features both vocalists and instrumentalists with a repertoire ranging from choral classics to gospel favorites. Dr. Walt Mauldin is the conductor. A nursery will be provided for children from newborns up to age six. The church is located at 3935 Hwy. 34 E. between Peachtree City and Newnan. Providence middle school breakfast club meets

Middle school youth at Providence United Methodist Church have a “Breakfast Club” meeting each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Chick-fil-A in Peachtree City. Saturday evening services at Inman UMC

Inman United Methodist Church is offering come-as-you-are Saturday evening prayer and praise services the fourth Saturday of each month at 5 p.m. Services are held in the sanctuary.

Cokes Chapel UMC schedules fall “Hymnfest”

Those who enjoy singing old hymns from the past—some of which are no longer included in present-day hymnals—are invited to attend Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church's “Olde Fashioned Hymnfest” featuring many of those great old hymns, Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. The event lasts approximately 90 minutes and will feature special instrumental and vocal performances, and both piano and organ accompaniment to the singing. Darris Baker, pastor at Grantville UMC will again serve as song leader. Cokes Chapel, one of the oldest congregations in Coweta County, is located between Peachtree City and Newnan on Lower Fayetteville Road between Dr. Fisher Road and Hwy. 154. Providence UMW to begin parenting group

United Methodist Women at Providence United Methodist Church will have an organizational meeting Thursday, Sept. 16, at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the formation of a small group to study Christian parenting issues.
