The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is looking for men over 40 years old to play in the Fall 1999 indoor soccer league. Registration will be held Tuesday Sept. 7 and 14 from 7-9:30 p.m. at The Soccer Centre. Interested players should call 770-460-8785

The WILSON 100 will be held Sunday, Sept. 12. in Fayetteville. The Southern Bicycle League's annual century features rides of 30,60, and 100 miles plus a double metric (124 mile) option! Terrain is flat to rolling hills. $19 advance registration includes t-shirt, emergency road service, rest stops and pizza at end of ride. $24 day-of-ride registration does not guarantee t shirt. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is looking for women to play in the Falll 1999 Women's Indoor Soccer League. Players must be at least 16 years old. The season is scheduled to begin the second week in September. Call 770-460-8785.

The 10th annual Friend of Youth golf tournament will be held on September 13 at Flat Creek Golf Club. Registration starts at 11:30, lunch is at 12 and the shotgun start beins at 1 p.m. The tournament is sponsored by the Optimist Club and the fee is $75. Call 770-631-0657 or 770-487-3818.

The Newnan Soccer Club is a men's amateur soccer team. They play in a competitive men's league in the Atlanta area and are looking for experienced players age 18 or older. The season starts in September. Call Dave Smith at 770-304-0539.

The Fayette Flash Youth Cross Country Team for boys and girls ages 7-14 will hold registration through Sept. 10 at the Peachtree City recreation Building from 9 a.m.-5 p.m each day and at the Kedron fieldhouse from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. each day. the cost is $70 and the first practice will be Tuesday, Sept. 14. The Peachtree City Elite 14 U “A” ball club will be holding tryouts for the 2000 season on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 at Meade Field from 3-5 p.m. call 770-304-8780 for more information.

There will be Fall fast pitch softball clinics from 1-4 p.m. held over the next several Saturdays. They will be held at Meade Field in Peachtree City on Sept. 12, McCurry park in fayetteville on Sept. 19, Windy Hill park in McDonough on Sept. 26 and at McCurry park again on Oct. 10.
