First Baptist will offer special interest community
classes Classes in overcoming personal obstacles, enriching marriages, enhancing parenting skills and weight management are being offered by the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City and are open to the community. Reservations for free childcare may be made by calling 770-487-8133, ext. 215. Registration fees vary and will cover the cost of materials used in the classes. Growing
Kids God's Breaking Free is an 11-week study written by Beth Moore and leads participants on a personal journey using the book of Isaiah. The study draws parallels between the captive Israelites and today's believers. Daytime classes will be taught on Tuesdays (beginning Sept. 7) and Wednesdays (beginning Sept. 1) from 9:15-11:30 a.m., with coed classes on Sundays (beginning Aug. 29) from 5-7 p.m. Evening classes will be taught on Wednesdays (beginning Sept. 1) from 6:20-7:20 p.m. Classes meet in the annex. Registration fee is $15. Digging Deeper, is a class in the chronological study of the life of Christ and the times in which Jesus lived. Using T.A. Robertson's Harmony of the Gospels, Dr. Paul McCommon will lead the class beginning Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. in room 100. Registration fee is $22. Motherwise' is a support group for moms. Led by Cheryl Fleegle each Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Beginning Sept. 14, participants will hear speakers share on subjects which interest them as well as use the Motherwise curriculum to help them in their role as a wife, mother and homemaker. Childcare reservations are required. There is no registration fee. The Look of a Leader is a 6-session coed class taught by Walk Through the Bible trainer and leader Norm Goss. Classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 6:20-7:20 p.m. Registration fee is $8.
