If you can't handle heat, don't write to editor

I take offense to the letter written by Mr. Harold Harrison and his mischaracterization of the so-called “Kraft Kronies.”

As I have written in previous letters, I frequently agree with Bob Craft on many issues. I have never seen Bob attack anyone personally, and I do not believe that I did.

I will passionately present my point of view and when I see a politician doing something that I consider harmful to the community, then I will forcefully present my points. If a politician cannot handle criticism, then he or she needs to look for another job. If someone cannot handle a differing viewpoint then they should not write into the editorial section of the paper.

I believe that the letter written by Mrs. Lackly was wrong and I expressed my views. I did not attack her, I disagreed with her views and indicated where she was wrong. I attack actions, not people.

I am a conservative. I do not like the overpopulation and destruction of my home county and home town. I am not a carpetbagger — my family has lived in this county for over 150 years. I am jealous of no one. I am angry at the foolish behavior of certain politicians and believe that their actions are often influenced by special interest groups. That deserves attack.

While we are bickering amongst ourselves, who is watching the politicians?
