to SPLOST is green light to developers, more growth There are indications that supporters of SPLOST are hoping for a low turnout of voters on Sept. 21. They think this is their best way of passing an unpopular tax. There are, however, many of us in the county who are opposed to the tax, and we will again make our opposition known at the polls. The tax is, in effect, a green light to developers to continue their greedy interests. Developers should be forced to pay higher impact fees to finance new schools and related expenses of unbridled growth in Fayette County. Vote no to SPLOST on Sept. 21. Jerry and Mary Taylor
