SPLOST
is no fix; instead, stop all development The claim that the SPLOST tax will increase the quality of education by building more schools is illogical. Building more schools will only be a temporary fix, even if the environmental aspects are ignored. Eventually, the population will increase, requiring even more schools to be built. The real solution is not more construction, but a complete cessation of all development in the county. While this may not have the immediate effect of reducing crowding in the schools, the benefits are potentially much greater. The traffic would not continue to get worse, and the effects will be more permanent. Instead of just building more schools and allowing the problem to crop up again, why not get to the root of the problem and keep the schools from becoming crowded in the first place? Bob Martin
