A
26-year-old Conyers man was sentenced Friday to
prison on a local forgery charge.
Jerry
Bernard Weaver pled guilty to forgery in the
first degree and theft by deception, both
felonies. Judge Ben Miller sentenced him to two
years to serve on each count, running
concurrently.
Weaver
purchased a 1985 Chevrolet Caprice last October
using a $1,800 forged check written on the
account of Donald and Lauren Collar. He pretended
to be Donald Collar when making the purchase.
