The Coweta Soccer Tournament was held recently and, like last year, was owned by the Peachtree City Lazer teams. The green team and the white team defeated six teams, scoring 43 goals and allowing only one en route to the finals. This was the second year in a row that the two teams met in the finals of the tournament. This year ended with the white team beating the green team, 4-1.

Both teams are trained by Charlie Morgan, Peachtree City Youth Soccer Director of Coaching, and Jose Rivera. Coach Rivera was the US Soccer Coach of the Year for 1999. He was also recently notified that he has been selected as the US Olympic Committee Soccer Developmental Coach of the Year. The white team is coached b Robert Wiemann and the green team is coached by Craig Evans.
