Minton to be advisor for Lehman campaign

Chuck Lehman, candidate for Peachtree City's Post 2 City Council seat, has announced the addition of Stew Minton as a political advisor.

According to a press release from the Lehman campaign, Minton has experience working with U.S. Rep. Bob Barr, former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, state Sen. Robert Lamont, Gov. Roy Barnes, and Lions International Club President Jim Irvin.

Minton and Lehman were invited in 1992 by President George Bush to attend the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday proclamation ceremony, where Bush spoke. Both men worked on the business committee for the MLK federal holiday.

Lehman said that he is “thrilled” to have Minton on hand “to offer his wealth of experience and expertise.

“Peachtree City is not just a small bedroom community anymore,” Lehman continued. “Federal issues are beginning to have an impact on this community; therefore, the need for a person of Mr. Minton's experience as an advisor.”
