Superior Court Jeffery Bryant Weaver pled
guilty Wednesday to statutory rape and was
sentenced to five years probation and a $1,000
fine plus costs.
Weaver, a teenager,
admitted having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Jonathan Howell
pled guilty to possession of LSD and received
five years probation, 20 hours community service
and a $1,500 fine plus costs. He received first
offender status, and must participate in drug
counseling.
Serena Reese pled
guilty to shoplifting and possession of cocaine.
She admitted taking cigarettes from Wal-Mart
April 8. She was sentenced to 12 months probation
and a $250 fine on the theft charge, and five
probation and a $1,000 fine on the drug charge.
She will also undergo drug counseling.
Leonard Pangburn
Jr. pled guilty to theft by receiving in
connection with a 1998 incident in which he
received a golf cart stolen by a juvenile. He
received first offender status and was sentenced
to three years probation and a 500 fine. His
attorney requested that his sentence allow him to
live in Indiana with his father.
”Bharat M. Shah
pled guilty to obstruction of an officer, driving
under the influence of alcohol and having an
unlawful alcohol content. He was sentenced to six
months in jail.
Karen Sanders pled
guilty to possession of methamphetamine and
possession of prescription drugs not in the
original container in connection with a March 20
incident. She received first offender status and
was sentenced to three years probation and a
$1,000 fine. She will be allowed to serve her
probation in Alabama, where she lives.
Melissa Brewer
pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine and
two other drugs and received five years
probation, along with a total of $3,500 in fines.
James Metzger
McCabe pled guilty to possession of Ecstasy in
connection with a Feb. 13 incident in which he
and two other Sandy Creek High School students
were found in possession of drugs. His attorney,
Scott Ballard, testified to Judge Paschal English
that the incident literally changed McCabe's
life, and he has become a model student athlete
and religious leader in his school. McCabe's
entire family was present at the hearing, for
which English commended them.
McCabe was
sentenced to five years probation, a $1,500 fine
plus costs, and must undergo drug counseling,
which he is already doing. He received first
offender status.
Jimmy Drake pled
guilty to possession of cocaine in connection
with a 1997 incident and received five years
probation, 24 hours community services and a
$1,000 fine. He received first offender status.
Sherry Johns pled
guilty to theft by taking, admitting to stealing
more than $600 from Fashion Care Cleaners last
year. She was sentenced to five years probation
and a $250 fine, and she must also make
restitution.
Brian Lee pled
guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to
12 months probation, a $200 fine and 20 hours of
community service.
Joe Boutier pled
guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to
12 months probation, a $200 fine and 20 hours of
community service.
Suzanne Lux pled
guilty to possession of less than one ounce of
marijuana, which she intended to mail to Michigan
earlier this summer so she could use it later
when she was there for a visit. A mother of two,
she testified that her husband had no knowledge
of the incident.
She was sentenced
to 12 months probation and a $500 fine, receiving
first offender status.
Brandon Copeland
pled guilty to criminal trespass and received 12
months probation, a $200 fine and 20 hours of
community service.
