'Elitist' argument a usual Hillary tactic

It is my opinion that [Donna Lee] Lakly and Hillary Clinton use the same tactics. If someone disagrees with you then you attack them personally and call them “elitist.”

[Bob] Craft and I share a very similar view concerning the absurd growth rate in this county. If it were not for the foolish approval of higher density almost every time rezoning was requested, the school board would not be using scare tactics to force us to approve SPLOST.

I admit that growth is inevitable. But when the city of Fayetteville has grown 58 percent from 1990-98, Peachtree City has grown 61 percent in the same time span and the county has also grown at a ridiculously high rate, then those public officials who are at fault deserve the criticism.

Mrs. Lakly said that we “should be thanking those who did serve and were able to compromise and work within the long-range plan...” Excuse me, but these politicians in question would look at the land-use plan, which is a 20-year plan, and rezone immediately without considering the repercussions.

Why can we not have controlled growth instead of explosive growth? Thanks to those whom Mrs. Lakly is so viciously defending, traffic is horrible, the schools overcrowded and the crime rate soaring. Has anyone noticed the problem with the jail?

Mr. Craft should be thanked for his participation in the political process, not condemned because you disagree with his politics. He is in the kitchen, creating the heat, and I for one like what he is cooking.
