Wolfpac gang wreaks havoc in Tyrone

Early morning on Sunday, Aug. 1, my 16-year-old son was severely beaten by approximately 20 current and former Sandy Creek High School students.

This gang of hooligans goes by the name of the Wolfpac and have been wreaking havoc and tormenting students in the Tyrone School district for some time now. How they manage to avoid being caught is beyond my comprehension. My son could positively identify only two of these gang members as actually throwing punches.

That is because he fell to the ground and covered his head to protect himself. There were many more that were involved in kicking him and punching him while he was on the ground, but we cannot do anything about those members because my son didn't actually see them beating him.

These gang members had been attending a beer blast at the home of one of the members prior to hunting down and jumping my son. The parents of this member were out of town. This group consisted of both boys and girls. Those that did not participate in the beating were on the sidelines laughing and encouraging the others to beat the daylights out of my child.

Our home was vandalized on “Senior Prank Night” by this same gang. Of course we have only the word of other teens who heard the gang bragging about what they had done. They again vandalized our home this week.

One boy has already been arrested and there is a warrant out for the second one. These teens tormented my child the entire school year, forcing him to miss many days of school. We had wondered why he feared going to school; he was too embarrassed to tell us until this beating occurred.

Several of these gang members are twice the size of my son, and two of them just finished basic training to become Marines.

My point here is to advise any parent of a Wolfpac gang member or their girlfriends that we are no longer going to be subjected to their hostility. We fully intend to prosecute these delinquents to the fullest extent of the law. The administrators at Sandy Creek High School have been advised of the presence of this gang and will be cooperating fully with us to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Parents, please take time to talk to your teens. Let them know that violence doesn't solve anything. Just because you don't happen to like another person does not mean you can cause them bodily harm. And to those that stood back and watched, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
