, The future of a 20-acre tract at Beauregard Boulevard and Grady Avenue will be decided tomorrow night.

Owners Charles and Mary Alice Odom want to put 54 “neo-traditional” homes on the parcel, and City Council will decide whether to approve the couple's request for a zoning change to allow that many homes. Current zoning would allow about 40 homes.

The proposed subdivision would include a three-acre park at its center, and a one-acre lake at the north end of the property. Homes would average 2,100 square feet in size and sell for a minimum of $170,000, said the Odoms' son Dan. Garages would be in the rear of the home sites, facing a network of service alleys.

, Malone's steak and seafood restaurant will be the next major chain to open in Fayetteville.

City Council tomorrow will decide on a conditional beer and wine license for owner Ferozali Delawalla.

The restaurant will open soon on the north end of the new Kroger shopping center south of town on Ga. Highway 85.
