Pastor's luncheon is tomorrow

A complimentary luncheon for all Fayette County pastors will be held tomorrow at the Village Cafe in Fayetteville. Purpose of the gathering is to unify and prepare area church leaders for the delivery of the Jesus Video to all homes in the county in early October. The luncheon is sponsored by 93.3, the Joy FM, Sonrise Bookstores, Family Christian Stores, and The Citizen Newspapers. Last minute RSVPs, call Rebecca (770) 487-6691, ext.200.

Schedules change at Providence UMC

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 15, Sunday schedules will change at Providence United Methodist Church. Early worship will be at 9 a.m., Sunday School at 10 a.m., and late service will be at 11 a.m. In the evening, both Project 54 and Youth Fellowship will meet from 5-7 p.m.

Blood drive is Aug. 18 at F'ville First Baptist

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Fayetteville First Baptist Church Wednesday, Aug. 18 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. The church is located on Stonewall Avenue East, one block off the square, in Fayetteville.

Inman UMC opens registration for fall program

Inman United Methodist Church is now accepting applications for children 2-4 years old to enroll in its fall program. Classes are offered in one-, two- and three-day programs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. For more information, call the church office at 770-461-2123 or Chris at 770-460-0525.

Liberty Hill A.M.E. sets homecoming for Aug. 22

Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church in Sharpsburg will have Homecoming Day Sunday, Aug. 22. Special guests will be Pastor Frederick J. McCullough and the St. James A.M.E. Church of Monticello. A service will be held at 3 p.m.

McDonough Rd. Baptist plans dinner, gospel sing

Members of McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a church-wide dinner on the grounds and gospel sing Sunday, Aug. 22. The community is invited to attend.

Liberty Hill A.M.E. will have revival Aug. 25

Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church in Sharpsburg will have a revival Wednesday, Aug. 25 through Friday, Aug. 27 with services at 7:30 p.m. each night. Guest evangelist will be Pastor David Johnson, associate minister at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Woodstock. Liberty Hill is on Minix Rd. in Sharpsburg.

New Hope Baptist sets blood drive for Aug. 25

Children's choir practice at Bethany UMC

The children's choir at Bethany United Methodist Church, for children ages 5-12 years, will begin practice Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6-8 p.m. children will begin rehearsals for a Christmas musical. Special activities and snacks will be provided from 7-8 p.m. Bethany is located at 507 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County.

Swing dance classes at Fayetteville First UMC

Swing dance classes will be offered by Fayetteville First United Methodist Church each Tuesday at 7 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7. Classes are held in the gym and are $30 per person. Pairs are best but singles are always welcome. For more information, call Paula Littleton at 770-461-1948.

Chancel choir practice at Bethany UMC

The Chancel Choir at Bethany United Methodist Church will resume rehearsals Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 7-8 p.m. Child care will be provided. Bethany is located at 607 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County.

Zion Lutheran offers Parents' Night Out

Parent volunteers of Zion Lutheran Church in Newnan will offer a Parents' Night Out on Friday, Sept. 3 from 6-11 p.m., giving adults the opportunity to have some time for themselves while their children participate in age-appropriate activities and games. Registration is required one week in advance and there is a fee of $5 per family to cover the cost of snacks. The church is at 53 Country Club Rd. in Newnan. Parents who would like to register their children may call the church office at 770-253-2884.
