The Knight Group, one of the Southern Crescent's most active home builders, has entered the Spalding County market with the opening of Poplar Pointe, a 47-home community in Griffin.

On West Poplar Street, the community offers two- and three-bedroom, single-family homes with prices starting in the mid $70's. There have already been four new home sales in the community.

The homes in Poplar Pointe, a sidewalk and street light community with custom mailboxes, will primarily be ranch plans, and the builder currently has work underway on the model home and five other homes in the community.

The yards in the community are sodded and seeded, and the home exteriors are of vinyl siding with lifetime guarantees. Some plans have rocking chair front porches, and all homes have architectural shingles, energy saving double-paned windows, and steel exterior doors which are insulated and have dead bolts.

Interior features include custom white cabinets and counter tops throughout the homes, gas ranges, garbage disposals, dishwashers, disappearing attic stairs, ceiling fans in the great room and master bedroom, raised white six-panel doors and pre-wiring for security systems.
