Teen dies in one car wreck

A McIntosh High School student was killed last weekend in a one-car accident in Meriwether County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, 17-year-old Nathan Fountain died after his car ran off the road, hit a utility pole, overturned and struck a tree on the driver's side. The accident took place shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday on Ga. Highway 54 west of Luthersville.

Also in the car was Willie James Fountain, who was not killed, according to a state patrol spokesperson who said she could provide no more details.
