Officers recognized for training

Captains Ken Mort and Jimmy Hall of the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services recently were recognized by the County Commission for advances in professional training.

Mort has completed certification as an advanced manager in the field of emergency management, completing more than 500 hours of professional training courses.

Hall has completed the professional development series curriculum in the field of emergency management, consisting of approximately 200 hours toward certification.

“Both of these individuals have exerted significant personal time and energy towards these goals and their individual efforts will be of lasting benefit to Fayette County and its citizens,” said Jack Krakeel, director of the department, in a memo recommending the men for recognition.
