Three sentenced in

Staff Writer
Three
men were handed down prison sentences Friday in
Fayette Superior Court after entering guilty
pleas in separate cases.
Juarez
Dru Claytor pled guilty to two counts of forgery
in the first degree, two counts of forgery in the
second degree, and one misdemeanor count of
giving a false name.
According
to prosecutors, he was arrested April 18 at the
Publix supermarket in Fayetteville after
attempting to pass a bad check using the name of
Harry Perkins. He had a false identification card
with his own photograph and Perkins' name on it.
Also
found in his possession were checks in the same
name made out to Office Depot.
Claytor
was sentenced by Judge Johnnie Caldwell to five
years on each first-degree forgery count and two
years to serve on each second-degree count. He
got 12 months for the misdemeanor charge. All
sentences will run concurrently.
Edward
Harold Losey pled guilty to possession of a
firearm by a convicted felon and driving with a
suspended driver's license. He was picked up last
year on a traffic violation and a gun was found
in his car.
Losey
received five years on the firearm charge and 12
months, to run concurrently, on the driver's
license charge.
Leonard
Ray Nash pled guilty to possession of
methamphetamine in relation to a May 11 arrest at
the Waffle House in Fayetteville. He was
initially picked up due to an outstanding warrant
from another county.
Nash
was sentenced to five years, with three years to
serve, and must undergo drug counseling while on
probation.
