Fayetteville officials need to replace about 1,385 feet of water line and four fire hydrants to make way for alignment and improvement of the Ga. Highway 92/Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard intersection. City Council tomorrow night will vote on staff's recommendation that they award a bid for the relocation work to Integrated Science and Engineers for just over $50,000. The cost could go up if the company strikes rock. A Men's Wearhouse and four other shops are next in line to take up residence in Fayette Pavilion. Fayetteville's Planning Commission will vote next week on elevations for a freestanding 12,400-sq. ft. building including 5,000 square feet for the clothing store. Also on the group's agenda Tuesday, July 27 meeting: - Dave Dail's Tire and Auto Service's plans to build a tire and repair shop next to Stevie B's in Banks Station shopping center. The shop will take up the unused space between the restaurant and the old Wal-Mart. - Rezoning for a 20-acre, 54-home subdivision at Beauregard Boulevard and Grady Avenue. An earlier plan for the same property that contained twice as many homes was turned down. - Development plans for an addition to GTO's Restaurant. The restaurant was established as a `50s style drive-in, but owners say they need to add some space for sit-down customers to use in bad weather.Ä .
