Peachtree City Mayor Pro Tempore Annie McMenamin is planning to run for re-election to the City Council's Post 1 seat. I bring the experience, the stamina and moral conscience to make the sometimes difficult decisions that affect us now and in the future, she said in a statement. I will continue to show respect to all citizens, be available to meet and listen to all citizens and respond in the best interest of the city. McMenamin pledged to serve with the same commitment to the city and its citizens that she has demonstrated in the past. Working closely with the city staff, the many incredibly gifted volunteers on our authorities and commissions, and utilizing the broad range of talents offered by civic, charitable and professional organizations and individuals, I will continued to work to preserve and improve the quality of life in Peachtree City, she said. I appreciate the support that I have received and look forward to the challenges in the future as we approach the buildout of our city. McMenamin's campaign staff includes chairman Jim Price, treasurer John Dufresne and volunteer coordinator Don Ethier. I'm proud to be working with Annie in her candidacy for City Council, said Price. At our stage in buildout, it is critical that we have representatives like Annie who bring a clear, conservative approach to development, knowledge of the issues and a strong values-based approach to doing business.
