Colwell oversees Centex Homes' Southern Crescent home building initiatives Centex Homes, the nation's top builder of single-family detached homes, has announced that Darryl Colwell has been named division manager of the company's south Atlanta neighborhood developments. Colwell will be responsible for all Centex home building activities in The Chimneys in Fayette County and Sutton's Cove in Peachtree City and The Woodlands in SummerGrove at Newnan. Colwell is an industry veteran committed not only to building homes, but to developing relationships with home buyers, said Dac Carver, director of neighborhood marketing for the builder/developer services group of The Home Source Realtors. Colwell believes in taking a personal approach to home building. In order to fully understand exactly what home buyers expect, I believe in building a partnership with each home buyer, he said. A home is one of the biggest investments a family will make, and I want to ensure that Centex meets the unique needs of its home buyers. A firm with almost 50 years of experience, Centex Homes was named the 1998 Atlanta-area Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association. It also is the only home builder to have ranked among Professional Builder magazine's top ten home builders for the past 27 years.
