Superior Court
Action A Fayetteville man was
sentenced to prison last week for burglary and
terroristic threats.
Bradley
Scott Greaney pled guilty July 7 in Fayette
Superior Court to those charges as well as one
for criminal trespass.
According
to court documents, Greaney entered the home of
Rick Turnipseed on two separate occasions earlier
this year April 16, when the burglary took
place, and May 10, the date of the criminal
trespass. The terroristic threats charge stems
from his actions against Matt Turnipseed during
the May incident.
Judge
Paschal A. English gave Greaney two years to
serve for the terroristic threats and three years
to serve on the burglary charge. Greaney got 12
months probation for criminal trespass. All three
sentences will run concurrently.
Also
in Superior Court, Richard H. Emory of Jonesboro
pled guilty to possession of amphetamine and
cocaine, receiving five years to serve on each
charge. Those will also run concurrently. Emory
was arrested in March 1998 on the drug charges.
Roderick
Maurice Herring of Stone Mountain pled guilty to
cocaine possession and two counts of forgery. He
wrote a false name on a traffic citation after
being stopped in Fayetteville June 15, using the
same name on a bad check he wrote that same day.
Tina
E. Sasser of Sharpsburg was charged last week
with theft by taking and driving while her
license was suspended. She was stopped Dec. 19 in
Fayetteville in a stolen Geo Metro, according to
court records.
