Though Wimbledon may have ended Sunday, tennis is still a powerful draw, especially in the summer.

The Fayette County Recreation Department will host an adult tennis tournament July 22-24. The tournament will be at the Kiwanis tennis Courts and is open to players 18 and older.

The deadline to register is July 20 and the fee to enter each event is $5. The events that are open to players are men's and women's singles and doubles, and mixed doubles. There will be five age groups; 18 and older, 25 and older, 35 and older, 45 and older, and 55 and older.

Not only is playing tennis good for a healthy body but is also good for producing a healthy competitive drive. Registration is open Monday through Friday at the Fayette County Recreation Department 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
